Hi folks
"Panic ye not" --- you don't need 99% of those things like system /scannow or whatever (if you need that then your system is really bust and you'll have a load more issues than this one).
So simply on the desktop area hit the windows+I keys
Then select taskbar behaviours
unclick autohide -- or if it's not checked - click autohide, and then unclick it.
Hey presto the taskbar should appear again.
Note loss of taskbar can happen (especially in VM's) if using different sized monitors to original install or if the video driver changes.
