Edge Search Engines

Two questions, is it possible to prevent Edge from adding odd sites to the Manage Search Engines dialog?

Why are tabs, history and favourites also listed?

Hi,

You can remove all but one of them leaving the default search engine of your choice.
They might come back during an update and you must remove them on all synced systems.

The favorites, history, and tabs are added to speed up the search done from the sites you have already visited.
Those can also be removed.

Favorites, history and tabs have no option to remove only edit

They'll disappear once you change default search engine. Changing to ,say, Favourites can be handy if you have a long list of Favourites and the same for history.
Don't know of a method to stop Edge adding search engines though. It's automatic.



EDIT, they disappeared the first time I changed back to Google but not the second time
