Enable estimated battery life remaining to battery taskbar icon?

Unlike Windows 10 and prior, it looks like Microsoft removed the estimated battery life remaining when you hover over the battery icon on the taskbar. It shows % remaining and you can still see the estimated time remaining in the Power settings. I did find a link on the tenforum page to enable and disable the hover function over the taskbar icon (registry keys .bat) but before I experiment I wanted to see if anyone had noticed this issue and had a recommended way, if there is one, to enable it. Thanks.

I use a 3rd party app called Battery Mode in conjunction with ExplorerPatcher that gives the win 10 taskbar as well and is very customisable, there are other apps about.

I'll have to look at that. I tried the Windows 10 registry change above and it didn't do anything.

No win 11 big feature was the taskbar and they don't like people changing it. Try ExplorerPatcher or Winaero Tweaker if you want a win 10 style taskbar. both have advantages and disadvantages over each other
