Hello!
I bought a new laptop, and I wanted to use Clickteam Fusion Dev 2.5 again.
The problem is, whenever I try to open program, it shows me error 0xc000007b.
I tried everything that I could find in the web.
- Reinstalled DirectX End-User Runtime
- Reinstalled .NET Framework 3.5
- Installed latest .NET Framework version (5.0.7)
- Updated every single driver
- Updated system
- Uninstalled Steam
And nothing.
It isn't fault of Windows 11, cuz on my old laptop I got the same version, and program works normally.

Do anyone knows what else can I do?

(NOTE: PC Specs are available in my profile.)

Okay, I got it! For anyone who has problem with RUNNING 32-BIT APPS, here's a tutorial, that works for most of apps.
1. Search for Windows Features
2. Open program/section called "Turn Windows features on or off".
3. Select Internet Information Service, and click OK (this will take a sec to apply the feature)
4. When feature is applied, search for Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, and open it.
5. On left expand your computer name, and click on Application Pools.
6. Right click on DefaultAppPool, and select Advanced Settings.
7. At the top, change Enable 32-Bit Applications from False to True.
After that, if your app will still not work, restart your computer.

Note: This isn't repairing any sort of errors like I do got here, but it should work when the app doesn't want to turn on.

Hi, @WiktorWdowiak, and Welcome to 11F!

Just to be clear - both laptops are running Win11?

I'm assuming that you've also tried re-installing CF Dev after doing all that other stuff?

I uninstalled both of the programs, and then installed them again. I even tried to click Repair <programname>, and nothing happened after it.

Hrm. Not sure. All Windows Features same on both machines, also? But Clickteam Fusion doesn't call for anything special, so that technically shouldn't be an issue - but still worth looking into.

Are both laptops HP Pavilion type laptops? Hardware similar between both?

I can't find a reason that it would work on one and not other, unless there is something different between the two. Maybe an HP app / service blocking it from starting?

Also, check maybe protected controlled folder access setting in Windows Security app (under Virus and threat protection --> manage settings --> controlled folder access - Mine was on and I didn't catch it until a couple of days later when I tried to run a game and it acted as if I'd never played it....

No, other laptop is HP 260 G6 Notebook PC. It's actually worse than HP Pavilion that I own, so it doesn't make any sense.
Non HP app is blocking it, because I have the same apps on both PC's.
I can try making this Windows Defender thing, give me a sec :)

Nope, it wasn't turned on, and when I runned Quick scan, it showed me that I don't got any malware.

If controlled folder access is off, leave it that way - it gets dicey running lots of different apps and having it on, that's for sure.

HP apps may still be different versions between two laptops, such as newer service for HP protection that is not on older laptop, or newer HP app for same app on both machines, older version on older laptop and newer version on newer laptop, with newer 'features' that is actually only getting in the way lol.

Had that happen with 2 different Lenovo laptops I had. Newer laptop tried to be more helpful with things I did not need help with. Older laptop never had a problem.

Data Execution Bit enabled on both? At this point it seems like you need to take a deep dive into the obscure settings on both machines to find anything is different past the hardware. For example, since hte new laptop actually has dual video cards, which one is active, and what happens if you change to the other?

Idk what Data Execution Bit actually is, so if it's turned on by default - yes, it is enabled on both. And well, after installing CF Dev again, nothing. The error still appears. I'll try to put files from old computer to new one, and maybe that would work. If not, idk then.

Yes, it's selected like on your photo on HP Pav. I can actually check, if it's the same on old HP laptop. Give me a sec! :D

Then probably side by side comparison of MSInfo32 on both machines...

Although, it probably wouldn't hurt to run DxDiag.exe on both first (native in hte OS if you have DxDiag installed) and compare those as well. I don't expect any major differences in DxDiag, but still helps to look at it.
