I just wish the other parts of Ms development were even half as good as those on EXCEL
The latest query system now with ability to pull in data from even large commercial data base systems just gets astoundingly easier and better.
SAP is very widely used in Enterprises for ERP and other applications -- and its main database system these days is HANA. Previously to pull data from HANA you'd need to employ expensive coders writing "ABAP" -- a sort of "Cobolish" language with a bit of OO and SQL in it and it could take a while to get your data.
Now you can run an excel query against it -- brilliant as SAP HANA is now a recognised data source for EXCEL. The ODBC from SAP is downloadable and works in exactly the same way that I've previously showed for MariaDB, and I'm sure others using Ms's own SQL server also have tried the query facility.
I can't see any office suite clone coming up anywhere near to EXCEL for any of these facilities -- and gathering / analysing data is increasingly more important in even for quite "Low level" (or "junior" jobs these days.
Here's Query into a Maria DB test data base returned to an EXCEL spread sheet as previously shown.

So or once Ms --well done. Very satisfied customer here.
Cheers
