I was over at Wilders Security Forums today and found a topic about FastStone Capture software. I tried it (free for 30 days) and was totally impressed. In the past, I used Windows Snipping Tool and then had to import the image into editing software to modify it. This software does it all and includes screen recording/editing as well. It saves in multiple formats.

I know that there is other software that does this, but I had not found exactly what I wanted. I purchased a family license (5 computers) for only $49.99 US (19.99 US for a single license) after using it for a few hours to see what it would do.

I have no affiliation with the company and paid full price for the software. I think others might like to explore this as one of the many screen capture apps that are available before deciding.

They also offer image viewer and photo-resizer software, both freeware. Go to: FastStone Image Viewer, Screen Capture, Photo Resizer ... to have a look if you are interested.

Have a great day.

Regards,
Phil

I posted this in response to your post at BC, so I'll post it here as well:

You might also find ShareX (free) or PicPick to you liking, along (as you say) with many others. And BTW. I've been using Faststone Image Viewer as my default image viewing software for many years.

BTW - beautiful Collie / Sheltie👍

@allan ,

Thanks for your reply. There are plenty of alternatives. I just shared my preference.

My deceased dog was a purebred female Sheltie named Morag. She was a beautiful creature. I have another Sheltie now who, despite being advertised as purebred, is only 86 percent Sheltie, despite paying more than the going rate for a purebred Sheltie female. I got suspicious, so I paid Embarkvet to provide a DNA analysis. It is a tremendous service.

Have a great day.

Regards,
Phil

Yeah, I've also used Embark and agree it's a great product. We've had a Collie, 3 German Shepherds, and now a rescue mix. We've loved them all, but our first was the Collie and he remains my all time favorite.

I installed it to give it a try. In my opinion it's worth buying. I'm going to buy the multi-license.
