Hi all,

I couldn't find this in the existing topics. I am trying to achive the expandible folder in taskbar like we had in all previous versions of Windows (see image).
This has been super useful to me and might force me to go back to Windows 10 really!
I prefer not to change the entire taskbar using third parties, I like the style of it. But would be perfect if I can have this even in a separate custom-added bar somewhere.

Thank you.

It will be quite difficult to accomplish without a 3rd party app of some sort!

A Taskbar Toolbar using StartAllBack:

A expandable shortcut using QTTabBar:

Follow below procedure. It will bring back you taskbar as normal.
1. Go to Explorer Patch Link
2. Go to How to Section
3. Click on Setup Program (Download the latest version of the setup program)
4. sp_setup.exe will be downloaded.
5. Install sp_setup.exe

This will bring your normal taskbar and you can setup folders in task bar now.

Not many new members are going to trust a first post that says “Click the link”
It would be better if you were to explain what the link is, Explorer Patcher. Explorer Patcher is another 3rd Party tweak application available on GitHub. Which the OP is trying to avoid.
Edwin is right about the complications in achieving this, I haven’t read that it is possible.
