OS
Windows
Greetings,

I have just started using a new machine. I dual boot Windows 11 and have just installed drivers, customized the OSs and brought them up to date.

One thing that is a bit weird is when I open Explorer, the view is different. In one install, the opening Explorer page only shows drives. In the other, it shows drives and the main personal folders: Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Music, Pictures, Videos. Both installs are updated to 22H2 (22621.900).Here are pictures of the opening page of Explorer in the two installs:

This is not a big deal. I am just curious if anyone knows why the two different views; and what, if anything, I can do to rectify the issue.

Thanks,
Graham

Find your build number, by typing: Winver in the Taskbar search box.

This can add/remove those "main personal folders" if you are on build 22621.xxx or higher...

For build 22000.xxx use this method...
