If Windows Update fails, try to download Windows 11 from there windows 11 - Browse known builds and make sure you select the option to create an ISO. Follow the included instructions to compile the ISO from the downloaded components. Mount that ISO to upgrade to the version you want. If the computer is unsupported, load Setup but before proceeding disconnect from the internet and repllace the hidden file C:\$Windows.~BT\sources\appraiserres.dll with an empty dummy of the same name. To create the dummy right-click on your desktop, select to create a new text file. No need to open it, just rename it to appraiserres.dll making sure there is no .txt extension at the end, or it won't work. Copy the dummy file, go the the hidden folder, delete the original and then paste the dummy. Assuming you are also disconnected from the internet (to prevent a hidden compatibility check that makes the process fail and also Windows Update messing with your drivers), you may now proceed with the upgrade.
