Is a final Release ISO available now, or do I have to download the latest Dev channel and have it update? I want to do a clean install on another hard drive?

It's not the 5th in the US which is when it will be released, probably around 10AM PTD (Pacific Time Zone).

You don't want the Dev as that's unstable and is ahead of the release. The Beta is probably going to be the release or updated to it however that's a guess at the moment and there is no info yet on if the ISO or MCT will be available straight away.

I have just downloaded an ISO of W11 pro choosing the beta channel build after visiting my Microsoft account and even in Blighty it is still the 4th October.

The Dev builds will never update to the RTM version, the DEV builds have been working towards the first annual update to Windows 11 due sometime in 2022 .

If you are running DEV builds you will need to either revert to the latest Windows 10 to be offered the update to Windows 11 or obtain an ISO of the RTM of windows 11 and perform a fresh install

The ISO appears to be build 22000.194 but the post after yours says the RTM build is 22000.253

Don't forget that Microsoft's actual release schedule, does state that although you may be able to buy a copy of windows 10 tomorrow or more likely a system with it installed their plans for free updates through Windows Update have always been planned for a phased release starting with the most compatible hardware and then proceeding on "down" the specs, it's been stated that this may not start until 2022 with some systems waiting until several months into 2022.

If you are a member of the Release Preview channel on Windows 10 you should be offered the option to update through WU before the majority of users ... I am a long time member of the Windows 10 Release preview and was first offered the update to 22000.194 and then several times simply offered to update to Windows 11

Not ready to upgrade yet my self - am too busy with other software testing, but I'll grab a copy of the RTM (assuming it's Not 22000.194 which I've had for a while), and will run it in a windows to go install

OK ... but I used the tool to build an ISO and it is build 22000.194 -- and from what I recall, that build came out earlier on 9/16.

My ISO I grabbed for the Windows 10 RP is dated 18th Sept so 16th could be right as I got mine through WU

I just updated my wife's laptop with the ISO from Microsoft and it is build .194. I checked for updates and there was no CU available.
