Hi,
Very sad
MS has a server issue and can't verify a pin "wouldn't be able to verify a password either" but expects people to make a new one they likely won't remember either eventually :lmao:

I currently have this Issue and just wanted to point out you can no longer boot to Safe Mode using Advanced start , well you can try but it just brings you back to the "Reset Pin" Window , you are also no longer offered the Command Prompt at Advanced Options, only Safe Mode or UEFI.

Hello KB, :alien:

Were you able to enable the built-in Admin to use?

Unfortunately No , it is also not available per the linked tutorial above as there is No Command Prompt any longer on a TroubleShoot (Shift) Restart at least not while the Pin is "broken" ..... I was hoping you might see this Post :)

But I will try to enable it next from a Win11 Setup USB Drive next, as googling around has not help me find a solution , in fact I have come across a lot of useless advice on this one ie on how to do it in Windows :) ......hmmm how can you do that if you can't even Login in :( ......

Are you joined to a domain (work or school), or done anything that would have disabled WinRE?

Were you able to use step 3 in this tutorial?

Re: WinRe ... I don't think so, Win11 seems so much more susceptible to "Errors, when "Tinkering with the OS" than Win 10 even was , I almost wish I had waited for as long as possible and stayed on Win10. but I have found in the past that it seems to be "broken" on some Systems, but you don't know that till you need it usually :) .

You replied as I was editing about , I was going to try the Win11 Setup USB method for the Admin. Account next per the Tutorial. Thanks as always for your help.

the Win11 Setup USB method for the Admin. Account next per the Tutorial.

Ok that worked , one quirk was trying to enter 10, which didn't work until I used the top row numbers instead of the Numpad which was not initialized as normal by the bios I think. I was also surprised that it didn't ask for a Password on setting up the Admin Account. It appears your .bat file ran successfully Brink but now I'm on the next Issue :) .........Win11 is booting straight into the Admin Account.... I'll try adding a password so it at least stops and asks for a PW, but at least now I am in I can add the Drivers etc.

OK that worked and I have added the Drivers, to try and get Networking/Wifi/BT running etc as it appears you are screwed if you have a Microsoft Account and no internet if you have the Windows Hello Pin option ON ( which it is by Default ) you don't get the Option to use another method,
but Brink's .bat file fixed that
Good news so far.

It seems in my attempt to setup a New User and Sign into my Microsoft Account while signed in as Admin, it has converted the Admin Account into a Microsoft Account with my Microsoft Email etc etc instead of setting up a new User , except it didn't change the Logon Name ...... so weird :)

It sounds like you may have signed into an app with your Microsoft account while signed into the built-in Admin.

Check to see if you have a Stop signing in to all Microsoft apps automatically link to click on like in step 3 below.

Afterwards, you can remove the MS account below from the built-in Admin account.
