Folders do not reopen after reboot Win 11

Some time ago, I noticed that the folders that were open before restarting, STOPPED OPENING after rebooting. I’ve tried all the recipes to ‘restore previous windows folder at logon’ suggested by Google AI and Microsoft and Reddit. But no folders show up on reboot. Many say it’s a Win 11 problem. Any suggestions?

When I restart Windows, previous apps and folders open back up.

I also have web browsers all set to open with previous sessions.

Ever since i upgraded from win10 to win11, "restore previous folder windows at logon" has not worked. Windows explorer does not restore the windows i was using on my last session. I am currently using win11 23H2 22631.5189 and it is broken…

If that doesn't work: Disable the "Restore previous folder windows at logon" option, restart the computer.
After the restart, re-enable the "Restore previous folder windows at logon" option again, and restart the computer.
Once the computer restarts, open any random File Explorer folder, and restart the computer.
See if that method makes it work again.

Thanks, Didn't restore folders. I'd tried this before. So far, so bad . . .
