Front & Rear Audio Jacks

Hi all, I have an ongoing issue with my desk top PC using win 11 home. I think the problem started about 2 years ago after a win 11 update that causes the front & rear audio jack to stop & start intermittently. The Audio may stop and not ever work again until a restart or it may start working again after several hours. While the jacks are not working I can get audio via Bluetooth. The mother board has been replaced due to a non related failure and the issue carried over to the new mother board. The audio audio jack is on the mother board.
I do not have a sound card. (see pic for sound info)
I have tried all the troubleshooters and used info from several YouTube tutorials with no success & I have no ability to roll back drivers.
Other than reloading win 11 from scratch or buying a new PC what can I do, any info is greatly appreciated, thanks.

The last Audio driver available for your Motherboard is:

Realtek HD Audio Driver

OS: Windows 11 64bit,Windows 10 64bit
[6.0.9225.1]

There’s more than likely a more recent Realtek driver available via a thread here, I’ll let someone else point you to it.

Some Windows update installed an audio driver that is not fully compatible. Install the latest driver for your motherboard as suggested above and you should be OK.

Thanks, I've done as suggested and will let you know if the fault has been rectified or if it persists.

I can only go by what your Motherboard support page says, which is “Realtek”
In your screenshot it says AMD audio, I am not 100% sure why.

The integrated graphics are AMD, so like the NVIDIA driver it creates another audio device for the motherboard's HDMI connector.

The OP desktops motherboard supports Ryzen CPUs with and without integrated graphics. For example:

• Ryzen 5 5500 CPU - integrated graphics disabled
• Ryzen 5 5500GT APU - integrated Radeon Graphics

The OP said he has a Ryzen 5 5500 CPU which does not have integrated graphics. I think there is some confusion here. In post #1 Speccy shows AMD High Definition Audio Device. That only makes sense if the OP actually has maybe a Ryzen 5 5500GT APU which does have integrated graphics.

If the OP has a Ryzen 5 5500GT APU he could use its integrated graphics by plugging a monitor into the motherboards HDMI port. To switch from audio from the desktop speakers to the monitor he would select the AMD High Definition Audio Device.



However, OP's desktop also has a Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 dedicated graphics card. It makes more sense to connect a monitor to one of its video connectors. To switch from audio from the desktop speakers to the monitor he would select the Nvidia High Definition Audio Device. Note this device is only shown when a monitor is connected to the desktops graphics card.

Note my desktop has a B550 motherboard and a Ryzen 7 5700X3D CPU. The CPU does not have integrated graphics. For that reason Speccy does not show and AMD High Definition Audio Device.

To illustrate this here are screenshots showing my desktop's audio. Note there is no AMD High Definition Audio Device since I don't have an APU with integrated graphics.
