Windows 11 Pro Version 23H2 (Build: 22631.4317)
I have the drivers installed on my Asus Q504UAK flipbook that allows me to use the special functions when pressing the " fn " toggle & one of the F* keys.

I can pull up the calculator by pressing the FN+ [numeric keypad Enter] for the Windows Calculator to come up. But I cannot toggle the touchpad on/off with the FN+F9 key, so every time I have to be careful & not highlight & delete something with the active touchpad.

Is there a registry hack that I can use to "toggle" the touchpad on/off? I'd rather use the FN+F9 key, however. This feature worked fine under Windows 10 Pro.

Incidentally, the FN+ [numeric keypad Enter] for the Windows Calculator did not work when I first installed Windows 11 Pro 23H2 but then one day it started working. Go figure.

Thanks. Cheers!

Yes. I do. I even re-installed them. Now that I am thinking about it I also have a fingerprint reader built-in to the Asus Precision Touchpad that & that driver is installed, too. 🤔

Yes. I have both installed. Like I said all the FUNCTIONs (FN) work except the Touchpad toggle on/off FN+F9 key...

Hello, :alien:

You could also see if you have the Leave touchpad on when a mouse is connected setting below available to turn off.

@Brink

Thanks. Will the registry entries options override the touchpad settings option?

Also, this workaround still does not allow me to use the ATPK driver shortcut key that was working under Windows 10 Pro, [FN+F9]; which was able to toggle the ASUS Precision Touchpad on/off by this shortcut. Too bad there is no registry hack to re-enable it.

BTW, does the ATPK driver package for the use of the Function Keys on the Asus Q504UAK look for the original version of the ASUS Precision Touchpad driver to toggle the touchpad on/off using the [FN+F9] key? I am asking because my driver updater program (Auslogics Driver Updater) found & installed the latest Asus Precision Touchpad Driver, version 16.0.0.23 from version 11.0.0.30. Although I did have the original version as 11.0.13. However, I am thinking I should not have to rollback to that driver or do I?

Cheers!

If it's a precession touchpad, then it should. We shall see.
Thank You, it does. But I still miss the Function [FN+F9] Key shortcut...

Cheers!
