Getting error in windows update 2022-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems (KB5018418)

Hi, I am getting this error (Install error - 0x800f081f) in win 11 from last few days tried many methods searching on internet but none works and today I reset my pc but the problem is still exist I don't know the problem is on whose side, I have attached sc below

Welcome to the forum. Download the update from the update catalog Microsoft Update Catalog

Turn completely off all AV, including MWB.

Try applying the update you downloaded.

If you still get the error keep AV turned off and apply the .bat file in this thread then try again. Run it as administrator.

I downloaded the update installer from windows catalog website but It is failing after some % and showing cannot update

In all honesty, no one knows what causes this whole inability to do cumulative updates thing. There's no rhyme or reason who it affects and the fact that to fix it, what works for some does not work for others. If you read the forum, you know it's been going on a long time and we all had hopes that 22H2 would fix the problem once and for all. I suggest you cut to the chase and perform a repair install. The iso you download should include the troublesome update.
Turn off any and all AV programs to keep them from auto-starting. Go to task manager and stop the processes for these programs or reboot and make sure these programs are not running.

thanks for help, taken to laptop to service center cleaned installed new one but problem still the same. just I had to do is wait i think :)

This is the same error for me installing KB5018427, My fix is reinstalling windows with active connections, update immediately and KB5018427 successfully installed.

This issue happens after upgrade to 22H2 via Windows Update for me.

My mom laptop has this error when Update KB5019980.
This error happen because she removed Windows Defender and some other users also reported same error on GitHub issue.
