Solved Gmail & Outlook LTSC problems for three days

Running Windows 11 using Outlook LTSC as the client with POP. I an get my email on the Gmail UI as well as on an iPhone but am getting shut out in Outlook. Various sites are reporting Gmail is out in various locations worldwide. Password and everything else is correct.

This seemed to self correct last week after about 8 hours but it is lasting far too long this time around.

Is anyone else having this issue and if so I'd really appreciate any and all help. Thanks in advance.

It seems that Google had enabled 2FA around June 1 then decided that it wasn't a requirement, Then on the 7th Google made it mandatory so I enabled it in Google and generated an app password to use instead of my local Outlook password. The GMail outage maps suggested it was a very common problem but it took two days to resolve.
