I have One Calendar and Google calendar on my cellphone. One calendar is installed on all of my computers. My son basicly has the same setup. In One Calendar and Google calendar, if Family is selected his appointments show up on my devices. As far as I know my appointments doesn't show up on his devices.Maybe Family isn't selected. I don't know of any common link between my Google account and his Google account. Does anyone know how or why Google would know we are family. The only thing I know that we share is our Comcast internet connection. At the present, he is temporarily living with us. This isn't a problem. I just would like to know how Google would know we are family. Did we share some info at one time. If we did, what could it have been?

I know I sound like "the crazy tinfoil hat guy" sometimes.
But over the years I've noticed that if you tell any organization on the internet, two things... they end up knowing seven or ten. :-)

No organization seems to be totally up-front with what information they store.
So at least in my case... I try to leave as few tracks as possible on the internet.

For example...

No Google anything.
No MS anything.
No OneDrive or any cloud storage.
Even on Youtube I use a false name.
No social media sites.
Definitely, no calendars. <--- You can rob my house, on these days.

Always remember... "it's not paranoia if they really are out to get you".

Yeah, data mining using extremely fast developing AI technologies (it's a cash cow!) ought to scare the bejeezus out of anybody who cares about their privacy.

It sounds like at some point in the past a "Family" calendar has been shared between you, we use shared Google calendars all the time in our house and that's the only way you get stuff showing on each other's calendars.

We don't remember ever sharing. Apparently we must have. I unchecked Family so now I won't see his appointments.
