Hello, I've tried to install Google Drive so it is accessible in Explorer. It appears in Explorer, but I am receiving the following error and Google Drive is not available via Explorer. Any tips on how to rectify so that I can access Google Drive from Explorer correctly most welcome.

Thanks AmericanPharaoh. I've downloaded Google Drive and this error message I'm getting when I click on it. I have removed and reinstalled Google Drive, but no change. Any further tips?

Still working on it. I've just now successfully downloaded and added Google Drive to File Explorer using the steps provided in the Geek tutorial. I tried to find something in the tutorials here but was unsuccessful.

This is how it appears after I added it. @idgat, the link you provided looks like the same process.

Thanks. Yes, I've managed to get Google Drive in Explorer. I still have the other Google Drive folder that I can't get rid of. No matter, at least I have my drive. This is what it looks like:

Well, that's great news! Glad you got it sorted ...most of it. You could try installing 'Revo Uninstaller,' then completely remove it from your system. Then reinstall it. Should get rid of any duplicates.

I’ve been using Google Drive on Windows 11 for a while now, and yeah—it shows up as its own drive, like G: or something, instead of being tucked under “This PC” like OneDrive. It works, but the setup can feel a little disconnected if you like everything in one tidy spot.

There are a few registry edits that can help integrate it into the nav pane better. I’ve done it a couple of times—nothing too wild, just follow the steps closely and back up your registry first. If you mess something up, getting it back to normal can be a pain. I did also test a few apps a while back to manage multiple drives, and one of them—CloudMounter or whatever—let you treat cloud storage like regular local drives.

Anyway, if your Drive’s acting weird or keeps vanishing after updates, double-check that it’s set to start with Windows, and maybe re-run the installer. That fixed it for me once after a big Windows update scrambled things.
