Had Far Cry 2 Until Last night

I have had Far Cry 2 since it first came out (2008). Never had problem with progressive windows and upgrades, that is until last night. Now I have had to delete it due to mercenaries climbing invisible elevators and jumping off to their (aaaagh!) deaths. I have RTX 4070 graphics card and, without exception, was fine until last night. Also when conversing with mercs and NGOs their heads swing from side to side. I have disk ver and tried reinstalling (and uninstalling) it 4 times to no avail. Other oldies like silent hunter 4 are just fine.

1) I would look at driver updates for the card
2) I would look to insure the game has the latest update patches
3) Far Cry 2 is 15 years old

GPU driver updates. Game patched to the latest (last) patch released.

Also, as the game is aging, and Windows 11 is maturing (updates) there could be some compatibility issues grown out of that. Point being what once worked flawlessly (old software) may not be so flawless as Windows 11 continues to be updated. Not saying that's the issue now, but...

That said, if your issues are under Windows 10, why are you posting here???

Might want to check out the GOG version...
