This question is in reference to

Add or Remove Home in Navigation Pane of File Explorer in Windows 11​

I would like to keep the Desktop icon like so.

Thank you, but I would rather not install something that can be done manually in the registry.

You could use option 2 to remove the Desktop folder from "This PC" in File Explorer without the need of a 3rd party app.

I don't have Folders in the viewing pane anymore, since the second last update...,
and, I only have Quick Access items in the nav pane without the Home namesake...

The whole structure is weird, haven't figured it out!

And then 2) I forget atm... It's in the settings... I am not sure.. It's early and it was a late night...
