Microsoft Windows 11 Home x64, version 22H2 build 22621.1344
Nearly 5 years ago I asked about an issue with Notepad that suddenly popped up with the Creator's Update in Win10. That is, the margin padding that had existed forever, disappeared.

Well today I noticed that the issue has been resolved in Win11! Maybe not a big deal for most people, but it makes me happy, lol.

I've already complained that there's far too much padding with the new Notepad.
Half of it would have been plenty.

By the way. I've never encountered that issue of no padding as you've posted about with the old Notepad.

Why the sarcasm? I said it myself that it's probably not a big deal for most people. Your eye roll seems to be an attempt to make me feel small. But only small people do that to other people.

I've already complained that there's far too much padding with the new Notepad.
Half of it would have been plenty.
I agree they did add a bit too much padding, and it was certainly smaller back when I first had it. I'm just happy it's back. Zero padding was just wrong.

From what little I've seen so far I don't know as I'll use the new one, have word processors when needing more formatting than what the original offers.

Except it is still screwed up.

You cannot have file explorer in light mode with system settings in dark mode. People have asked for this for years but no, got high votes of hub etc.

I'm OK with that as I use dark mode wherever possible. I wish they would enable dark mode everywhere. When working at night if full dark screen and some white dialog or something pops up, it feels like a photo flash went in my face.

I liked notepad for keeping the odd text thing i needed etc, But sticky notes made it defunct for me anyway and if i was gonna type out something proper..then i'd use something like office, Notepad is literally a blank piece of paper
