Since starting in a computer shop in '94 I've never run across power supplies that had adjustable outputs on the various cables, had to get larger-capacity ones. Only way I saw to do that was comparing the description the specs of the one in use against others available, in the case of 750W may have to go to 1000W. A thing to verify is how much power is coming to the outlets where being used, in my case I had a circuit with a 20Amp breaker to my intended office but I added another 20Amp circuit with its own breaker, have not had an issue with continuous use of 4 Desktops, Wireless DSL Modem, Router, Switch and 2 printers [LaserJet and OfficeJet], also associated speakers, desk lamp and fan. All but the speakers and printers are on UPS/Uninterruptible Power Supplies, 2 x 600 and 1 x 1400.

750W is one Hourse Power (HP). It is a lot of power.
The RX580 has a TDP: 185 W and Minimum PSU Recommendation is 500 W
Why do you need more power from the PS?
I agree 100% here, My 2070Super at max pulls around 230w( Give or take)
I have a smaller supply than you do, And im well within limits with headroom. You're good man, Only other thing i can think of is something along the lines of the power plan for the gpu, Found in nvidia control panel for Nvidia cards but not owning an AMD one for a few gens means im rusty on they're software.
I personally use MSI afterburner for my OC needs, +100 core voltage, 116% Power Limit, 88 Degrees C temp Limit, +200 Core + 600 Memory.

Some power supplies have a feature to switch between a single rail and multiple rails. Placing the power supply in multi rail mode can make it safer because it limits the amount of current on a single rail to lower amounts, but it's possible that in such a configuration you could attempt to draw more than the allowable current from a single rail.

You may want to check the documentation on your power supply to see if this is the case and verify that you are within the stated specs.

Assuming you need a larger power supply...

If you just need a "new" power supply...

As others have mentioned, a decent 750W should be fine for the hardware you have.
Generally, as a rule of thumb... I would look for a gold, platinum or titanium, made by a respectable company, like Seasonic.

IF you're having problems with your vid card, and if you have a 750W from a decent company... I would look for the cause of the problem, somewhere else.

In that case, I'd bin whatever software that is, And just use MSI afterburner, You can create and save profiles etc, Mine defaults to the same every time MSI is open, Which is anytime i play a game for monitors as well as my fan curve+OC settings. My gpu sits around the same as you're one idle temp wise with fans turned off, Personally i always have it running so its more like 37 idle.

The GPU draws little power when it isn't being stressed. I suggest using a utility like Furmark. Its "stress test" can pretty much maximize the GPU load. You can also use the "sensors" tab of GPU-Z to monitor the card's power draw in real time.

As regards the AMD settings, I haven't used their control panel in a while. I presume there is a provision to save settings, or even a custom profile.

Msi shows them all onscreen whilst doing what you're doing so it kinda does all.
Either that or i'd recommend to use Hwinfo, Its pretty much the mac daddy of monitors for literally everything. Aida64 extreme is also of similar ilk. Cpu and Gpu - z Are a bit dated IMO. They also sometimes report false numbers, Like that time i was running my CPU at 50ghz per core and my GPU ram at 17gb XD. No other program showed this so ruled it out as being sensor issues and more a those program issues.

Gpu uses little power when not being stressed if you chose it to run that way, Mine doesn't declock at all and runs at max performance always.
You can of course set this to change but you can sometimes notice it happening during gaming sessions etc with fps changes when its ramping up and down, Not always ofc but from time to time. Eliminates the issue.

All in all, Bin the software and use MSI, Its the OC go to for GPU's for a reason.

I personally find no need for these programs, Just do it all in the bios and be done with it. Dont know about this one personally though but theres generally no need for them.

Armoury Crate isn't the bios, I believe its an Asus software/Gear program.

At stock settings the vid card is crashing?

If so, then do this first...

DDU Instructions - AMD
1. Get this program, here: Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) | Wagnardsoft ...get the latest version, and save it to your desktop.
2. Get your vid card driver here, use the Manual Search: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download ...save this to your desktop.
Unhook the internet completely.
3. Reboot into Safe Mode and run DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) choose the "Highly Recommend Option", and just do what it tells you.
4. After it's done, reboot to normal mode, then just double click the AMD driver to install. If it want's to reboot, let it.
Rehook the internet.
