Solved How do I get past game registration?

I have installed a game from a CD-ROM, The Adventures of TinTin - The Secret of The Unicorn, and in order to play the game I have to register to UPlay, and create a Ubisoft account. I fill in all the required fields, but when I click the 'Register' button nothing happens, and when I say nothing happens the box doesn't disappear, I repeatedly press Register and it doesn't do anything. Any idea what could be happening?

Try to reinstall Ubisoft Connect App. It is outdated when grabbed from the CD-ROM and will most likely not work for registering nor logging in.

Here are the instructions for updating Ubisoft connect:
Reinstall - Update Ubisoft Connect

That dialogue box is way out of date. That game is no longer available, so presumably cannot register it.

The App is now Ubisoft Connect just go here and make an Account:

This website is invaluable for old games:

A bit of careful Googling around and contacting Ubisoft is in order.

The Birthdate given [1 September 2009] of installer or gamer may be an issue with some games, age may need to be 16, 18 or 21. [15years 8 months]

The birth date was just an example, as I didn't ant the screenshot to contain any personal information.

It looks like the Ubisoft registration dialogue box was indeed the culprit, I assumed it was up to date because upon loading it each time it would say 'updating Uplay'. So I downloaded the new Ubisoft Connect as mentioned above, and instantly could see everything had changed, for example the password requirements had changed. After successfully setting up the registration I was able to input the unique code from inside the case and add the game to the Ubisoft library. It now loads and plays with no problems.
Thanks to all that offered advice, at least it was only something simple.

I used to hate using apps such as Ubisoft Connect. I then realized that once an old game was added to my library the CD for it was not needed anymore. I just put it on the shelf to collect dust.

Note even if you have to reinstall the game on the same computer or install it on another computer you just download it from your account and install it.
