How do I prevent my child from signing out of MS Account in Edge

I’m setting up my daughter’s school laptop (We supply the laptop - standard HP for running Office365). In an effort to prevent her from spending her day on youtube or Roblox, I set up Family Safety and a MS account for her. It works great except she can log out of her Edge browser and search incognito. No bueno. How do I remove her ability to log out of Edge? I saw a thread on the TenForum describing a reg change forcing login to Edge Chromium to browse. If I upgrade to Edge Chromium, will this work in Win11? Thank you.

No upgrade required. Edge Chromium is what you're using. Windows 11 never had non-Chromium Edge.

The reg edit should work if it's a home edition or the same policy is available in gpedit.msc for pro/ENT/edu

You could try Kioware which puts a computer into Kiosk mode where you can control exactly which programs can run but it will take quite a lot of your time to set up.

I've tried it and is very promising.

I googled this and several people have ssked MS this and lots of waffle replies but all conclude it is not possible.

I even set up S mode child account installation with all Family restrictions, and I still could not find a solution to your query. This is a major weakness if child can surf without you tracking their movements.

All I can do is suggest you use feedback hub, and post a link here but by the time they do anything, the child will be an adult!

The issue may be solved in a different way if your WiFi has a 'Home' network and a 'Guest' network. You could then connect your daughter's school laptop to the 'Guest' network and apply access restrictions there.

Edit: I notice just now that the OP was in August last year and she has never posted again! @kelper @cereberus

It is an old post! I was going to say that for a child account I've always just set up the computer with a local account, standard account for child with adult as admin and Fox filter on the web browser. That would mean purchasing office instead of Microsoft 365.

Did the Force Sign In linked in the first post of this thread not work for this requirement?
