How hide the app name in the title of each open windows on the taskbar

Hello

I would like to be able to remove the name of the application from the title of each open window of concerned application on the taskbar.

I find this useless and cumbersome

Example:

when you have folders open, a list of them appears when you hover over the file explorer icon.

To the right of each folder name is (in my case in french) “ : Explorateur de fichiers”.

I haven't found a solution to this "problem" anywhere.

Could someone please help me?

Can you provide a screenshot of what you mean along with your build/channel version please?

It comes and goes, for some people it comes and never goes.

How to remove File Explorer from suffix on Windows Taskbar?

Recent update's they have added File Explorer behind the folder name on windows taskbar, its annoying and cuts out from the path name. Has anybody figured out a way to disable this "annoying feature" by regedit or some way? Obvious this is in Danish but translate to File Explorer So assuming...

Well you’re up to date for 23H2 so it isn’t that.

I think for many, it is the new normal. I get it also. But to be honest I haven’t checked if it still happens since upgrading to 24H2. And I am in bed because its 3.30AM so I’ll have to check later. 😄

But in my case this only happens for the taskbar and not for the folders.

I am unaware of a fix. Or how to revert back to the way it was.

They'll make themselves out to look like the hero and not a bunch of idiots!

Does it matter though? If it’s removed, who cares how. Let them have their glory. I believe it’s a bug. My wife’s computer is as up to date as mine is. I have it, she doesn’t.

I haven’t seen any documents or posts to say it’s by design?
