I used the Media Player from the store in Win11 , worked fine .
After updating to latest version , the app opens a second and is gone.
After clicking again it works , seems this is an update-problem ( store) , coz it worked fine before the update !
My question is ; HOW to block an App from updating in the store ...........??

Still searching for an easier way , maybe with a reg-key ?

" Try uninstalling the app "................tried , but did not removed enough ...........maybe.
very difficult to remove this app completely , there are looots (!) or reg-keys in regedit of Zune Music .
Do you have to remove them all..........??

Find Media Player in the Start menu apps, right-click, select Uninstall. Gone. I've done that and it never comes back

Uninstalled completely , removed all the Zune Music-items , installed again.
Its a "splashscreen " still ..........opens one second and gone , opening second time works.
HOW(?) to solve it............??
Im getting errors , in the eventlog , after each splash ; App.error id=1000
pointing to ; twinapi.appcore.dll
version ; 10.0.22000.593

Open PowerShell as Administrator and run:

Get-AppxPackage *zune* | Remove-AppxPackage -AllUsers

... restart machine, then start from scratch.

Will try this also , reverted to 11.2204.25.0 again , this version works perfectly .
Opens ok , plays everything .
When updating with the store , it behaves like a "splashscreen " !
Uninstalled before , by clicking left on the icon in startscreen , removed all Zune Music-items , no luck .
Wonder if your " Get-AppxPackage *zune* | Remove-AppxPackage -AllUsers " will do the trick.........

I ran all versions of Media Player, from 11.2203.30 to 11.2205.22, I'm not getting what you experience!

Suggest you run a sfc /scannow in a Command Prompt Admin, to see if it addresses that twinapi.appcore.dll issue.

Yes , will compare this file with a working PC ( which has no problems with latest Zune Music ) , permissions , etc. ?
And run a sfc /scannow ..........will see , it should be fixed anyway !

If none of that resolves the issue, I suggest you ditch Media Player and get foobar2000, or sumpthin! ;-)
