Hi, I currently have Synctoy 2.1 which I use for backing up my folders installed on one profile on my PC. On another profile, on the PC The Synctoy program has been installed but none of the "the folder pairs" I had created on the first profile for backing up are missing.

How can I copy the info from one profile to the another. Thanks

Per-user profile settings will be stored in each user's AppData folder.

I don't know about Synctoy, but I have had success transferring a Firefox profile from one user to another (on a different PC in my case) by copying the data from one user's C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles to the other.

Messing about with the contents of AppData may be dangerous if done incorrectly. I would make a system image before starting. My imaging of choice is Macrium Reflect, but others are available.

When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.

Hi Bree, thanks for your reply, I would be very hesitant on trying to copy AppData and crash my PC. I have decided to manually recreate each of the folders I had created on the original profile.

That's you choice, and a sensibly cautious one. You can afford to be a little more 'experimental' if, as I do, you routinely make a system image backup. Apart from anything else, it's your insurance should your hard drive ever die on you. You can replace the drive and restore the most recent system image to get your system back exactly as it was before.
