How to permanently dismiss the "Try New Outlook" yellow ribbon in Windows Mail

I already found a solution for issue of Windows 11 forcibly launching the new Outlook over Windows Mail, by deleting "olk.exe" in "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.OutlookForWindows......."

So I'm now able to use Windows Mail again.

Now I just need to figure out how to get rid of that annoying yellow ribbon:

I don't mind the "Try the new Outlook" toggle, as it's less intrusive. But that message keeps popping up every time I open Windows Mail.

There's gotta be a way to disable it, no?

I don't use client email at all, so I just remove (uninstall), Outlook totally.

Since I deleted "olk.exe", clicking on "Try new outlook" has the same effect as the "Dismiss" button. It just closes the message.

Thank you for the welcome, and your suggestion. However, with regards to uninstalling the new Outlook, firstly is doesn't work (as the app forcibly re-installs in the background every time Windows Mail is re-launched). And secondly, as deleting its .exe essentially solves the issue of it forcible launching over Windows Mail, that is no longer an issue that's of concern.

My only focus right now is to try an disable the annoying yellow ribbon message which pops up every time Windows Mail is launched.

I understand and commiserate. As I mentioned I don't use any email client. I'm strictly webmail.
I know there are many regulars on here that DO use client email though. I feel sure they will have suggestions or even answers for you. :-)

Been A/B-ing Outlook and it's closest relative, Bluemail, for a while and, gosh darn it, I gotta say Outlook is the smoother operator! 🤷‍♂️
Bluemail started out solid and simple, a little weak on features, but, now the UI is full of junk and glitchy!

I agree. Plus I think, any more than one email address and you need to pay with Bluemail? Maybe not I can’t remember.

But Thunderbird seems great. I especially like the profile backup and import from Outlook features.

@johnlikeybob You're really whistling Dixie and will have to cut the cord to Windows Mail app sooner rather than later. It will disappear from your system by the end of the year. No firm date as of yet. It is my understanding there will be no way for a customer to keep the old app.

Is It Possible To Remove "Try The New Outlook' Slider Button In The Mail App ?

I'm thinking there might possibly be some kind of a registry edit for removing the try the new outlook slider button located up in the upper right hand corner of the screen in the original mail & calendar app. I really feel like it might be possible to do so.
