How to remove/hide Accessibility & Windows Tools from All apps list in Start?

is there any way that I can remove or hide this two folders from not showing in All apps list in Start?

I manage to delete this two folders when I open %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs, but... there are few others that I want to remove too from my list and I cant find them there, there is no Open file location option when I right click on them...



Any suggestion?

I'm guessing you're referring to the Calendar, Calc, Feedback, Get Started, MS Store, Notepad, Paint, Settings, Snipping Tool, and Win Security shortcuts in the All Apps list, and many here in the Forum have had a go at getting rid of those (especially Get Started) without doing any damage to the system, and without uninstalling the associated apps. The consensus here seems to be that those are best left alone (and ignored, if you wish).

Any particular one you want to get rid of?

For now... I just would like to remove this "shortcuts" from my Apps list in Start...

Intel Graphics Command Center
Microsoft Store
Paint
Terminal
Windows Security

They are not located in %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

You should be able to find the IGCCenter in Settings > Apps > Installed Apps. Just click the three dots on the right and choose Uninstall.

It's a graphic interface that lets you see the display and video properties of your system and adjust them, but the native Windows controls give you access to all of those controls without the pretty windows. It's about five years old now, and hasn't been updated. If you uninstall it and one day you want to get it back, just go to the Microsoft Store and search (top of screen) for Intel Graphics Command Center, then click Install.

Speaking of the Microsoft Store, the advice on this Forum is NOT to uninstall that. You may need it in the future.

Paint, Terminal, and Windows Security may come in handy sometime. It might be a good idea to leave them alone, and just ignore them until/unless you need them.

No, You misunderstand me, I want to remove shortcuts from Apps list in Start, I dont want to uninstall this programs.

On the contrary, I didn't misunderstand you, but the only way I know of to get rid of those particular shortcuts is to eliminate the programs they access, and with the exception of IGCC, I don't recommend that you find ways to uninstall them. Methods exist, especially by using PowerShell commands, but again, I don't think you want to do that. Just my two cents.

There is a way, but it is a pain to do and you must not be a novice and understand what you are doing:

Let's take Terminal, you need to go here: Version will vary.
%ProgramFiles%\WindowsApps\
Take ownership of the folder Microsoft.WindowsTerminal_3001.16.10262.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe
Go In AppxMetadata folder, modify file AppxBundleManifest.xml ,
The format needs to look like this, so there are some tag additions to be made.
<Package>
<Applications>
<Application>
<uap:VisualElements>
AppListEntry="none"
</uap:VisualElements>
</Application>
</Applications>
</Package>
So the VisualElements tag is what makes it invisible to the user menu.
Save the file. App will not be visible in the menu but will still be usable.
Not worth it in my opinion, repeat with paint.
Store & Security , I have not tried.

Thanks @OAT, but this is complicated for me, I thought that there is another path for this apps, like in Brink tutorials and that I just have to delete shortcuts from there,

You can't really blame MS.
It's doable, but not recommended.
It's hard to find a balance between system stability and personal user customization for billions of users with different sets of skills and this while keeping the OS secured.

While hacking the manifest works, when Windows Update replaces any of those apps with newer versions -- you'll have to redo it.

That is why it's not recommended. But you can have control of which apps get updated.

My 2 cents and my opinion.

Certain pre-installed apps can not be removed from the start menu without uninstalling the app. Furthermore, some of these apps can be uninstalled, some can't. It's just the way it is. If their presence in the all apps list bothers you that much, no one is forcing you to use the all apps list. I mean, how hard is it to just NOT CLICK on "all apps".
You DO have other options.

Alternatives for opening just the apps you use include desktop shortcuts, pinning to taskbar, pinning to the start menu either individually or in folders, opening from search, browsing to its exe, from the run cmd, and from command prompt.

You can go drastic and completely hide All Apps feature from start menu. I am not recommending this. Only providing information. The Window 10 method of using group policy or regedit should still work for this but I have not tried it so use at your own risk.

Group Policy (if one has Pro) - Open group policy. User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar > Remove All Programs List from the Start menu> select enabled >(choose between two following configurations) >
Collapse and disable setting - this will hide all Start menu icons. App icons can still be accessed by clicking the All apps button.
Remove and disable setting - this will hide all Start menu icons. All apps button will be removed.

Regedit method -
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Create new DWORD (32-bit) Value. Name it NoStartMenuMorePrograms

set the Value data to 1 and then Restart

Very true, and this is only because MS has left the door cracked to allow us to tweak a lot of things. But when it comes to some things in the new GUI, that door is closed and padlocked. I suspect as time goes on, more areas will be locked down at MS discretion. I've chosen to tweak only the things that actually affected my work flow. Since I don't know what MS has in store, I don't want to wake up one day and not be able to use my system because of things I've changed just for the sake of change or just to see if I could change and I did so much tweaking I can't remember them all so don't know what tweak broke me..
