How to remove pending driver installs

Well, Windows 11 has done it again, making what should be a simple fix to a simple problem into an impossible one. How in TF do you remove pending driver updates??? I've tried multiple solutions here and none of them work. I've disabled Windows from searching for updates, removed all the downloads from the Software Distribution folders, changed the registry to not install drivers...and of course, this abortion still wants to install a new Nvidia driver.

Rebooting does nothing, so when I really need to get new updates, I'm going to get this POS driver update whether I want it or not.

What I get is the suggestion to use Optional Updates if something isn't working right, I just ignore them.
I've never gotten the 'pending' part.

I used to get that, but starting today I'm offered the Nvidia driver to install, even though it's unchecked in the optional updates.

I'd check Device Manager to assure Nvidia drivers are listed instead of the Microsoft driver installed at the initial setup of Windows. Might need to right-click the entry and Update the driver.

I think it got confused when it detected the 2nd GPU I installed (which I've disabled), even though it should have used the previously installed driver.

All this just to play a stupid game...gonna try (again) with Steam/Proton.

Have seen things like that happening when removing one printer and adding another, uninstall routine of the earlier version software didn't clean out the Registry completely and updates continued being offered for the old one, took some Registry cleaning [dangerous] to remove old entries.

Problem is that I didn't remove anything. W11 decided that the 2nd GPU needed its driver over the one already installed, which is par-for-the-course for Microsoft. Whoever came up with auto-updates should be launched into the sun.
