Solved How to remove pointless file search, people, and calendar icons from taskbar

I've looked around Settings, right clicked those dopey icons and still cannot figure out how to get rid of them. I also search the tutorials here and drew a blank again.

I've done the first clean reinstall of Windows 11 24h2 today after 2 years. It was getting clunky and starting to develop niggling issues. The OS has no work accounts linked to it btw.

I'm talking about these little wastes of space. 😠

Use task Manager to close the apps.
The disable them in the Start Up Apps section in Task Manager

If you wish to uninstall them, they are listed as the M365 companions.
They are useless without a M365 work account.
They are supposed to download with Office 365 on Beta or First release Channels.
Going to be such fun when it goes to general release.
