Hello,
I apologize if someone has already posted a solution to this. If not, does anyone know how to prevent Paint 3D from creating a folder in Pictures every time one uses the app? If I delete the folder, once I use Paint 3D again it will recreate the folder every single time.

Thanks.

Not a solution but a comment. Why not NOT delete it and just leave it? Does it grow in size gradually or..?

Delete what? The program/app (Paint 3D) or the folder? I actually use Paint 3D every so often, while the folder keeps being created even if I delete it every time. I thought my Q/concern was pretty self-explanatory... 🤷‍♂️

Does Paint 3D create an additional folder each time of use or is it one folder but with files added each time? Could be that folder is meant as a temporary scratch holder while working like some older programs did and may newer versions still do.

I said "not NOT" dte it. Meaning dont delete it..leave it. It barely uses any space and the folder isnt seen. I do see your point and your reasoning to delete it or shall i say keep it deleted. Sorry I cant contribute to a resolution for you. Good luck.

You can cut its hand to access the Pictures folder! Settings>Privacy>Pictures (turn off its access toggle button, like SS below, I don't have Paint 3D).

If you use 'Save As' it will give the option on where to save.

Yes I know, but the program was creating a folder each and every time I used the program (even if I kept deleting that folder) in Pictures. With the latest 22H2 update the program was deleted, but I re-installed it from Microsoft Store and the solution provided by atinfo worked. Thus, this thread can be closed, thanks! (y)

First time I used the 'save as' and created a new destination I deleted the folder in 'Pictures' and it remained deleted.

Just for info, if you ever use the snipping tool for some reason, turn this off otherwise your beloved folder will be back.

That message appears after updating to the latest version (11.2209.2.0). They have added "Auto Save" option to this version, just a promoting message.

Auto save would be active by two methods (if you don't want screen capture to save automatically, avoid these two!):
1- Enable "Automatically save screenshots" in Snipping Tool Settings
2- Pressing "Win +PrintScreen" keys simultaneously
