I'm getting a flood ( 1-5 per second) of UserModePowerService Event Id 12 (as described here). It's going to be a while before this problem is fixed. Is there any way to tell Windows to stop logging this error record?
If I filter just those records and perform a Clear Log will only those records be erased or will it clear the whole log?

In this thread I'm asking how to set a write filter for Windows' event logging. The event I want to filter happens to be the event mentioned in that other thread, but here I'm asking how to filter any particular event. Totally different question with potentially different readers responding.
