For some reason, when I right click and try to create a new folder, there is no option anymore.
Also, the "new+" menu is also empty if I try to create folder in my c drive. I also ran a virus scan using windows defender and nothing popped up.

Thanks! This solved the issue for me.
Heads up: For anyone who else has a similar issue, this seemed to work for me:

Method 2: Using the Registry Editor

  1. Start the Registry Editor (regedit.exe)
  2. Navigate to the following location:HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder
  3. In the right-pane, double-click (default) and set its data to Folder
    new folder missing right-click
  4. Exit the Registry Editor.
  5. Log off and log back in.
