I'm using Windows 11 on my new laptop and a popup suggests that it's associated with a microsoft product. When I open it from the tray icon I encounter this antivirus software (see screenshot). I'm unsure if I accepted it or not.

1. I already have a different antivirus (McAfee) so I don't know if this additional one is really needed
2. What is this RAV Endpoint Protection?
3. Why I keep getting this popups?
4. How do I uninstall it if I want to?

If you didn't install RAV antivirus then the way it got on your PC is as part of installation of another legitimate program, with the purpose to make you buy it.
You don't need paid antivirus, should be possible to remove it from "programs and features" in control panel.

The Rav antivirus program was created by a team of developers from Israel. The founders and project managers were the Shiskovitz brothers, Zvi and Aviad, who invested their knowledge and experience in the creation and development of this antivirus software.

Zvi and Aviad Shiskovits were born and raised in Israel. Both brothers had a unique IT talent since childhood. They started their careers by creating and developing computer games, which then became very popular among users.

However, their passion for game development came with concerns about the security of computers and users' information. At a time when the resources of the Internet were just beginning to expand, security issues became increasingly important. That's why the Shyskovitz brothers decided to join forces and create their own antivirus that could protect computers and users from malicious programs.

As a result of much research and experimentation, the Shyskovitz brothers developed a unique software - Rav antivirus. Their antivirus was not only effective in fighting viruses and malware, but also provided the user with many additional features that enhanced the overall security of the computer and data.

With the advent of Rav antivirus in the computer security software market, users could be assured of reliable protection of their computers from malicious influences. The Schiskowitz brothers, in creating the Rav antivirus program, have achieved great success and have become world renowned for their dedication to security and quality.

Rather than just removing it through Windows I strongly suggest you use Revo Uninstaller Free. Revo will scan for leftover files and registry entries. Be sure to check every leftover item Revo finds and remove them.
