Hi Everyone,
I've already tried following this tutorial Add or Remove Copilot Button on Taskbar in Windows 11 Tutorial to get the copilot icon enabled on my windows 11 taskbar. So far anyway this tutorial hasn't worked for me, are there any other methods available that I could try ? Thanks in advance for any suggestions & help provided.

Using vivetool, from cmd.exe from the folder where vivetool.exe resides:
vivetool /enable /id:44776738,44850061,44774629,42105254,41655236 <enter>

Hi OAT,
Just like always I can always depend on getting some help when I need it in these great forums, I really thought I would have received the copilot function automatically by now. From everything that I've read about this some users have in fact received it and others haven't, I guess I'll just blame it on microsoft, of course being honest I myself am generally pleased overall with windows 11. Thanks so much for your informative reply, I hope you have a great weekend.

Same to you.
OAT, as of yet I haven't tried doing anything with the codes that you gave to me, I'm rather confused as to why I need so many just to be able to get the copilot feature to function properly.

This guarantees it will work as I don't know how your system is configured, maybe only one is needed but I do not know that.
Co-pilot requires xaml code base to work with UWP explorer.
You could do
vivetool /query > YOURDRIVE:\YourFolder\features.txt <enter>
Open that features.txt file and see if some of them are already activated.
What I know for sure, if that you need them all for co-pilot to be activated.
A restart is also needed after that.

Hi OAT,
Thanks so much as always for your informative response, from what I've been reading about the copilot feature some users like it and others simply hate it. By chance do you use it and if so what do you think about it ? Have a GREAT remainder of your weekend

Hi @Davy49,
This can only be a personal assessment, of course.
It can be useful; it can simplify and enhance searches.
Is it a must have? No. Is it worth a try? Of course!

Have a good Sunday.

OAT,
For the moment anyway I'm thinking I'm going to put the copilot issue on the back burner so to speak because at least for me I have a different issue that at least for me is more concerning, it's the new homepage setting that's missing on my current copy of windows 11 that I'm currently typing this reply on. I thought up until now that it was going to be installed automatically via the normal windows update process, but it looks like I was wrong, I looked in the tutorials section and discovered a registry edit that's supposed to add it in the settings area, I'm going to restart my computer and hopefully it will be visible after I do that. Happy Sunday to you as well. :thumbsup:At least so far the registry edit to add the start category in the settings area didn't work, it's looking like I'm going to have to investigate a little bit further. :boom:

New Settings page:
vivetool /enable /id:44702824 <enter>
Restart system, not just explorer.
