Hi. This is my first post on the 'elevenforum': I've been reading and posting on the 'tenforum' since it began, and before that, on the 'sevenforum', ever since that started up as well: perhaps on the 'xpforum' and 'millenniumforum' further back still, if they ever existed (I don't recall!). (Pretty sure there was never a 'threeforum', which is where I started out!!). Time moves on (and how).

One of my computers (all currently running Windows 10) is an HP Envy x360:

HP ENVY x360 13 and 15 2-In-1 Convertible Laptop

I often get a message on it asking if I want to upgrade to Windows 11 and I guess I will have to accede sooner or later. One concern however is that I have read that Windows 11 will not retain the laptop's 'tablet mode' when (if) I move from Windows 10. Is that so?

And what about the touchscreen facility? Will that remain just as it is now with no special input on my part?

Many thanks for any details on these points - and anything else I might need to be aware of when moving from Windows 10 to 11 on that particular laptop.

Martin

I have a Dell convertible. I just flipped it around to tablet mode. The screen rotated automatically and I am replying to this thread with the on screen keyboard that also automatically appeared. Windows 11 22H2 here. Touchscreen is working perfectly.

Ok, thanks for replying. Sounds like there is no problem then. Will probably 'risk it' at some stage soon...
