Hey there everyone!
First time post, so please let me know if I end up missing anything.
Since the last BIOS update for my laptop (Alienware m15 R6) (1.20.0) I've been having issue with high consumption of CPU time and resources from both the WMI Provider Service and the Device Association Service, which I've tracked down to a particular internal USB hub disconnecting and reconnecting itself even if the only thing plugged into the computer is its charger (Demonstrated by occasional freezing of the Device Manager Management Console and Windows Explorer itself, plus general sluggishness of the system while in operation).
I've already tried running "DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth & SFC /scannow" several times, and have found no integrity violations within my current Windows 11 installation, also tried uninstalling relevant programs (VMWare Workstation Pro, VirtualHere USB Client and USBPCap), rebooting, running the checks again, and so far the result has been the same.
As I'm typing this, the aforementioned hub has behaved this way over 400 times and counting since the last reboot (System Uptime of 38 minutes), and I've tracked it down to two particular device IDs:

USB\VID_0BDA&PID_5412\6&D1BE92F&1&3
and

USB\VID_2109&PID_2817\5&2A83CFE&0&6

How could I begin to look into fixing this problem?

Kudos and thanks for reading!

You're absolutely right, my bad.

I haven't been able to find an edit button, so let me try that again (It seems the formatting got erased when copying the text over form the Dell forum):

Okay, no problem. Is there any color in particular I should use? I didn't change the default and from my browser it looks like #1d1d1d.

That's pretty odd, I'm checking from my phone (Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra | Android 13 | Chrome 111.0.5563.116 & Firefox 111.1.1 (Build #2015941331)) and everything looks alright.

Okay, I just tried toggling over to the forum's dark mode and I see where you're coming from.

I did write those posts with the light mode enabled, so perhaps some property of the text was copied and I didn't notice by chance.

Too bad there's no way to edit the main post or see the HTML before publishing, perhaps at this point it would be easier to start over with another thread.
