is good for a old laptop to have windows 11?

hello,

i have an 6 years old laptop. my laptop hasnt the standard specs for windows 11. Do you think that it would be better for this pc to run with windows 11 or I should stay on windows 10 ?

Hi and welcome to the forum
There are members here that can instruct you on how to use 11 on a non-compliment device and they should pop in to help you out.
FWIW.. I would stick with 10 given 11 doesn't have enough new things to justify going though the hassle of installing it. And some of the features in 10 have been removed in 11.

On my computer with more serious stuff, I stayed with W 10.

If you have Windows 10 installed and you're happy with it, I'd say stay with Windows 10 until October 2025. Windows 11 no longer has some of the things we all value.

However, if you wish to install Windows 11 on your older hardware, simply clean install Windows 11 and it will work fine. Don't blame me, though, if you don't like what you get. :-)

I've clean installed Windows 11 on an older Lenovo Ideapad Flex and it works fine, but is missing some of the things I don't want to do without.

@shaocaholica And? Yes.. the chip is old and I never said it wouldn't work with 11. You simply have to go through a bit of finagling to make it work. I simply stated that I wouldn't go through the hassle but he can if he want's to and I showed him where the subject is discussed.

Since I make my living with my computers, I do, in fact, use them for more serious stuff. :)
