OS
Windows 11
I have tried to install this update, (Cumulative update preview for Win 11 23H2), many times but each time it fails with the above error number.

I am wondering why what seems to be an update which should have happened last year is being rolled out now.

I did try the suggestions on How to Fix Update Error 0xC007000D on Windows 11?, up to System Restore which I did not wish to do, and nothing changed.
Does anyone know how I can fix this error please?

More & more often these days, it can be more beneficial to skip Cumulative Update Previews and wait until the patch Tuesday to install the final offering for that KB

6 months ago I was saying that I have never had a problem with Cumulative Update's, lately I am hesitant.

You could try resetting Windows Update? Worth a shot.

That, I couldn't tell you.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I did run that batch file and saw some error messages, but they disappeared before I could make a note. When the computer rebooted it then just showed a black screen for several minutes without continuing to boot. I then switched the computer off for a couple of minutes, switched it back on and it continued to boot as normal.
Now when I click the retry button to run this update instead of downloading the file and installing it, getting to 100% before showing the error message it shows Download error - 0x80248014 so doesn't even try downloading the file.
I think that I will wait for Patch Tuesday to see if that solves the problem.

Thanks, I did decide to give this a try and downloaded the file, but it would not install. I will wait for Patch Tuesday.
