Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT) 5.131 helps remove malicious software from computers running Windows11, Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, or Windows Server 2008.

Microsoft generally releases MSRT monthly as part of Windows Update or as the standalone tool. Use this tool to find and remove specific prevalent threats and reverse the changes they have made (see covered threats). For comprehensive malware detection and removal, consider using Microsoft Safety Scanner.

I don't receive the Malicious Software Removal Tool on my ARM x64 laptop. Is that expected?
I did read on Reddit (!) that someone said that it wasn't needed because Snapdragon processors don't have malware. An assertion that sounds wildly optimistic to me.

Further to this post, I asked Co-pilot and it said that the Malicious Software Removal Tool is available for ARM x64 Windows, even though it wasn't offered to me in the monthly update. It suggested downloading it (link in Brink's first post above). I did download it and it remains to be seen whether it will automatically update next month.
