Kroger Sign In Problem

I'm getting the following message when I try to sign in: "We're having trouble with sign in right now. Please disable any pop up or ad blockers and try again." Signed out of all blockers, tried Edge & Chrome. Same message. Works on Safari. Never had a problem before. Suggestions?

Since Chrome and Edge are both based upon Chromium, it sounds like it may be a default setting affecting the Kroger domain. As for *which* setting it is, though, we'd have to dig through it.

However, I just tried logging in via Edge (with a brand spanking new profile with no customizations at all) and it logged me right in. So, that suggests not a default setting in Chrome / Edge, but something that you amy have set up - either in both browsers, or else in your antivirus / antimalware app(s), or even your router, though you say it works fine in Safari. Is that in Safari for Windows, or on another device, like a MBP?

I'm using Safari on an iPad Air.

You say you were able to sign in with a clean, new install. Was your install up to date with the latest patch?

I was wondering whether the problem might be related to the "big" security patch done in the past week. As you point out, both Edge and Chrome have the same underpinnings. The security patch I'm referring to is discussed here:

If that's it, it still hasn't been fixed -- just tried again to sign in with same result. I sent an inquiry email to Kroger yesterday after having tried their chat. No response yet. The chat person said they were having system problems but dropped the chat when I asked why it wasn't reported on any internet systems down sites and why Safari was working. Guess it was easier to drop the chat than find the answer.

Yeah, my installs are always up to date.

According to Latest Microsoft Edge released for Windows the latest version is

And if they said they were having problems, they may be intermittent - or even region specific. I'm near Atlanta, and it's working fine for me, but to test, I'll try several logins over the course of the next 30 minutes or so and report back if any of them fail.

Thanks. I'm near Richmond, VA. Have been considering installing Brave browser. Maybe this is a good time to try it. My version of Edge is same as yours.

I love Brave as a search engine - not so much as a browser. It has too many things I don't care for in the browser itself, and is less customizable than Edge or Firefox, my actual go-to browser. But their search is awesome, I've made it default on all my browsers.

To each their own. If you try Brave and like it, more power to ya. I do recommend that you make Brave search your default search. For one thing, no more pesky ads in search. And when it doesn't necessarily find what I'm looking for, you can always manually search Google.

BTW, I've tested 4 times and still getting in without an issue.

Thanks for trying to help. Still couldn't sign in with Brave Browser. Tried my sign-in credentials as well as my wife's. Same result. Also tried her computer with same result. Removed security settings temporarily, allowed pop-ups, allowed ads, changed from strict to Balanced security in Edge. Still won't work. Guess I'll just have to use the iPad for now.

Is your iPad on the same network as your and your wife's devices? If so, then something weird - but if it is not, then that could be a factor.

Eve if they are on the same network, though, there may be something in your routers allowing the iPad to get through whereas the others cannot - though that would be highly unlikely.

Same exact network / router. Only difference is that our computer desktops are connected via ethernet and the iPad is WiFi. Just tried my Windows laptop (exactly same settings as the desktops) but on WiFi like the iPad. Guess what! I was able to sign in on the laptop.

What the . . . ? I don't understand why WiFi works and ethernet doesn't. Like I said - two different ethernet runs connected to two different desktop computers with the ethernet runs connected to two different terminals on an Asus router. Also, we keep our two desktops and the laptop up to date always (Windows 11), use the same security settings, and use the core set of apps. And everything was working as normal until last week. Everything we use regularly also seems to still be working with no glitches -- except the Kroger site. By the way, also cleared all history including cookies and cache.

Oh well, enough time spent. Only sign into Kroger once a week anyway. We'll just use the iPad or laptop.

Way to funny you said this. I tried to login to Kroger yesterday also and the only way I could was by using Edge browser instead. Ive had the chrome blocking a website thing happen a few times. Only way I could fix it was just whitelisting the site.

My Firefox versions are 100 and 102 for Firefox Nightly, and ver 101 of Edge and version 100 of CHrome, so that is not hte case here, as all are working to log in to Kroger's website.

Still having the same problem I reported in my original post on 5/2/2022. I can sign in on iPad, but cannot sign in from a Windows 11 computer. Have tried with Edge, Chrome and Bravia. Have "Allowed" popups. Same result. Always get the following message:

"We're having trouble with sign in right now. Please disable any pop up or ad blockers and try again."

I've been dealing with this issue for months. I use Edge/Chrome on both my work and home computers, experiencing the same issue on both. Sometimes Edge will work on my home laptop, while Edge will NOT work on my work laptop for sign in. It's frustrating and I have no idea how to just make this site WORK.

the only way I can sign in is by using the android app on my phone

One thing to verify it's not the browser is to use incognito mode and if it works, then it's your extensions which you to then test one by one.

I have Windows 11 Pro. I had no problem logging into Kroger.com using Edge, Chrome, or Firefox today. I also had no problem logging into Kroger.com last Friday using Firefox on my Windows 11 laptop or Firefox on my Android phone.
