Language bar "Docked" option greyed out after upgrade

Windows 11
So I recently upgraded to Win 11, and for some odd reason my docked language indicator that was working just fine in Win 10 got kicked out of the taskbar. I went searching for the option to put it back in only to find it greyed out. The language dwitching works just fine, so it's more of a cosmetic annoyance than anything else. I have another Win 10 machine that was upgraded to Win 11, and that one is showing the language indicator in the taskbar just fine. There's gotta be some registry value that got changed. I searched the web high and low and couldn't find anything.

Any ideas?

The "Docked in the taskbar" radio button remains grey. Is this how it's supposed to be?

Following Fabler2's advice: "see if this box is unticked". Tried every combination of both boxes on the Advanced Keyboard Setting screen: - no difference. Ditto every combination of boxes on the Language Bar Options screen. Haven't been able to "un-grey" the Docked in the taskbar line.
Something really crazy here. There was no problem at all under Win10, but after upgrade to Win11, switching keyboards is a mess.

Under languages, add the en-US language. This will work regardless of whether your version of Windows is native US English. After it finished downloading and installing the en-US language pack, simply remove it again. You don't have to worry about it losing US English native support, because it's native. Why you can still add it even if it's already natively supported (and natively supported even on non US English versions of Windows) is beyond me, but it's still possible nonetheless, and, if you reboot next, the radio button option that you are referring to here should no longer be greyed out. Not too long ago this issue was driving me crazy until finally, at very long last, I figured it out (after I had spent more than half a day of my time searching for the only fix).

Under languages, add the en-US language.
It's not selectable in the list of languages. Therefore I cannot add it.

I don't think that setting is available. (Docked in the taskbar)
If you go to Time and Language, Language and Region, select the three dots on your Language and select Language options,

Select add a keyboard, any will do for now,

Go back to Time and Language and select Typing and Advanced keyboard settings.

Here is what shows when you tick or untick the box for 'Use the Desktop Language Bar When it is Available' regardless of the 'Docked in the Taskbar' setting greyed out.
