Hi forum,

Does anybody have this problem? I didn't have Language Bar on LS (Logon Screen) in 21H2. After installing 22H2, it appears on LS! I also have disabled the language indicator in the tray.

I have had this headache since the update 22H2! I would mark this as solved whenever I find a solution (which would be shared here).

Does this work?
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Control Panel\International]
"BlockUserInputMethodsForSignIn"=dword:00000001

If you don't have one, you create it.

For Pro editions, you can open Group Policy Editor:
Computers > System > Locale Services > Disallow copying of user input methods to the system account for sign-in -> Enabled

That's temporary. LB (Language Bar) would be back again, just wait for seconds on the login screen!

For Pro editions, you can open Group Policy Editor:
Computers > System > Locale Services > Disallow copying of user input methods to the system account for sign-in -> Enabled
Doesn't work. LB is there (after reboot):

If I have it turned off, another rubbish Language indicator appears beside the tray icons! We have to enable it first, then hide the LB there!!

Uninstall any unnecessary language packs!

I have installed one extra keyboard. No extra Language pack is installed (I like Windows UI with its original UI Language, in my language, it would be a mess!). I have to have that one (my native language Keyboard)

Hi, Garlin's group policy setting worked for me, left on sign in for a couple of minutes, didn't come back, also rebooted numerous times still ok, will let you know if it returns, thanks Bill

How simple and how ridiculous! I never thought of it!

No need to change GPEdit setting:

The GPO manages the "ENG" on the bottom right. Which is separate from the Language bar.

Hi, again just reset GPO settings back to default, Language bar came back, I turned it off, as atinfo said, it closed but came back at next login, so went back to GPO fix, Bill

!
I don't know how many keyboards/languages you have added (I don't want to know). I have one UI language (Windows UI=English/US) plus one extra keyboard (my native language, it's a "MUST" for me). Mine is working good by RC->Close the language bar option. As @garlin said, it (GPEdit setting) has nothing to do with the "Language bar" it's about the "Language button". The GPEdit didn't work for me, either for Bar or Button.
