Looks like Asus and MSI (3.10.22.706) have released a slightly newer chipset driver than what is available directly from AMD (3.10.08.506), that has an updated power plan driver in it (7.0.4.4). From the PP release notes,

You can hit up Asus or MSI for pretty much any B550 or X570 motherboard to find it. Or if comfortable installing manually here is it from the installer for my motherboard,

I found the update available on my mobo too... but not on AMD's home site... strangely enough..
I have a AMD PRIME x570-Pro mobo....

Same... it's there for Win 10 and Win 11
I saw it on Tuesday but didn't install it. I think I may wait and see what AMD does.

This is purely superstition on my part. When I 1st built this comp, there was only one driver with a yellow question mark, and I had all the latest drivers from ASUS. Turned out it was part of the chipset driver, and I needed AMD's chipset driver to fix it.

First time I have seen Asus releases chipset driver with higher number and newer date than AMD. Drivers from AMD seem to be same for all AM4 MBs. Drivers from MB manufacturer may contain changes for some features unique to that MB.

I thought about that, but see my edit above.
This was the 1st ASUS board that I had that problem with... ever.

I've typed it so many times, that the ONLY time I don't have to look at the keys, is when I type: "Always get the latest drivers from the motherboard manufacturer". :)

So, I'm really conflicted here... just call me HAL 9000.

it installed fine for me no issues so far..
only thing was an update to the POWER PROFILE v7.0.4.4 up from v7.0.3.5

I installed it with no issues, this time I didn't have to uninstall previous driver, it just updated. Frankly, I can't see any difference.

That's the weird thing. This time it TELLS me to uninstall the previous version...

I've NEVER uninstalled chipset drivers, before installing the newest one, until I saw you mention that on TF.
I always pictured that uninstalling chipset drivers was like living in Holland and pulling my finger OUT of the hole in the dike. :)

When in reality, uninstalling chipset drivers is more like a telephone operator in 1900, just getting up and leaving the switchboard, without telling anyone.

As you may have noticed, I have a strange imagination.

Installed here, Prime B350-Plus no requirement to uninstall previous drivers, also did audio and lan updates that were there, all seems well.

I downloaded the latest AMD Chipset Software (3.10.08.506) and installed it on my Window 11 desktop. On Windows 11 Settings' App> Apps & feature screen, it shows the new AMD Chipset software too. However, when I use Device Manager to view AMD 5950x's driver version, it shows an old version:

How do I ensure that the AMD 5950x processor has the latest software from AMD?

Don't worry about those dates, they are "fake" for compatibility. You'll notice some other drivers are like that, like drivers for disks for instance.

Thanks. But how do I check if the latest driver is used by the AMD processor?

It's chipset drivers you installed not Processor and they will show up under the AMD entries in System devices , don't expect dates or numbers to equal the driver package version number, it never does as said it's a compatibility thing.

There is an install log and install summary in C:\AMD\Chipset_Software\logs

Got it. Thanks for the info. How do I check if my AMD processor 5950x has the latest software? I read it somewhere that AMD has a fix for Windows 11. I want to make sure I have it installed.

The fix was partly from Microsoft in the October monthly updates for the L3 latency bug and in the chipset drivers from AMD for the preferred core bug.
