Tried both Win 10 drivers FAILED and Win 11 drivers...this also FAILED
Or is the leftover driver files are conflicting with the installation process...how to uninstall those??

Just go to Programs & Features. It's up near the top.

It is compatible with 5600H on Win 10 and Win 11...

This is the chipset driver for Win 10 and Win 11 - 64bit

If the install failed... uninstall the chipset driver from Programs & Features... then try to install this one.
You should probably backup your current drivers, first...

When uninstalling or installing chipset drivers... if it asks you to Restart... do it.

Installed here on Win 11 with no problems.

Just a heads up in case it helps you, a couple of years ago there was an installation issue which meant that some drivers would not install properly if your system drive had an AMD folder in it left over from the previous chipset driver install. This was supposedly fixed, but I always delete the old AMD folder before installing chipset drivers. It has never let me down yet. (no doubt next time!)

I also always reboot as a matter of course, even though it didn't ask me to this time.
Finally, I like to keep my power options on AMD Balanced, with maximum processor 99%, and minimum 30%, so they have to be reset after every chipset installation. This is mostly to reduce power (and noise) in everyday computing. I do have a 3000 series processor, so the last bit probably doesn't apply if you have a 5000 series processor.

I'm wondering if that has something to do with Acer. Maybe some ACER utility?
How does Device Manager look?

Do you know which two drivers failed to install?
Do you see any warnings in Device Manager > View > Show Hidden Devices?

Do u get into some problem while installing the new Chipset drivers for your system mate?
Haven't tried yet, I'll give it a whack when I get home, usually not a problem

Do u get into some problem while installing the new Chipset drivers for your system mate?

I just downloaded the chipset driver from the ACER website... and I think I found the problem...

This is in the release notes included with the chipset driver...
Note: To give better user experience, AMD UART, AMD GPIO & AMD I2C Drivers were made as non-uninstall-able drivers from 'AMD Chipset Drivers' entry in control panel, even if deployed on the system

I would assume that this may be the cause of the trouble you are having with the chipset driver from AMD.
That chipset driver on the ACER website isn't that old... 11/18/2021

Might be a good idea to just download the one from ACER and install it.
Just ignore the ones from AMD.

The last two AMD chipset drivers only came out in Oct 2021, and yesterday.
It's possible that ACER may grab the chipset driver from AMD, and do some ACER magic on it, then post it on the ACER site, in the next month or so?

That's what it looks like they did last time... AMD chipset driver came out Oct 2021, then ACER chipset driver comes out Nov 2021. ACER may have their own numbering scheme.

These are the chipset drivers from AMD, that I have stored on my HDD...

Image1.png

This is the one on the ACER website...

Image1.png

IF the version number is really an AMD version number... then that chipset driver on the ACER website was released by AMD sometime in 2020. But the date says: Nov 2021

Considering the (Note) with the ACER website chipset driver, and the date on that chipset driver.... It may be better to just install the chipset driver from the ACER website.

I think this is why the AMD installer kept failing...
Note: To give better user experience, AMD UART, AMD GPIO & AMD I2C Drivers were made as non-uninstall-able drivers from 'AMD Chipset Drivers' entry in control panel, even if deployed on the system

BUT... if Device manager > View > Show Hidden Devices... has no warnings... then you could just let it run for a few days and see if there's any problems.

Here's the entire release notes from the ACER chipset driver...

It does say in the release notes, to run the chipset driver installer... as Administrator?

There's also all this... but I doubt these commands will work any better.
They seem to be just for unattended installs.

That post from @stormy13 was from Oct 2021, that was the previous chipset driver.
We're now on 4.03.03.431 :)

I do the same thing all the time... especially in topics like chipset drivers.
The topic sits for months... then gets action. I scroll back 5-6 posts and it seems like it's the same conversation. :)

@Madg26 If you exported the drivers like mentioned in post #81... you should just be able to import the original chipset drivers.
