Overnight Win 11 has gone stupid. My wife put the pc on this morning and she could not access some of her icons on her desktop. When I finally surfaced she told me. I said just reboot it, it should work, it did. Then I went into my desktop after she had finished looking and my gmail is on the bottom of the column, and Bin at the top, everytime I clicked on gmail the button self propelled lifting up, one icon at a time, to bin. I tried again same result, and again. Rebooted and my gmail opened!!!! I know its not my pc, its been running perfectly for quite some time now, and was perfect. One other thing,wrong pages are opening at times. I did full SY scans, clear. I pressed Firefox and my file page opened. This failed to open for a couple of mins.

I totally agree with a poster in a diff thread in which he stated Win 10 has (to him) proved to be more stable to Win 11, I was always the other way around, in the past 11-12 months Win 11 script has been written by Biden. Luckily it has not been necessary to Shout for Z3 or Brink, is weird, and others, Is Gates about to sell out to China???

Big question is has win update screwed up, again?

I have 2 Desktops and 3 Notebooks running supported Win11 and 2 Notebooks from 2014 running unsupported Win11 and only 1 unsupported is showing a problem. The issue with that 1 just updated today is when reading/playing an ODD the keyboard becomes unresponsive, reboot and it is working, have some more testing to do.

As for Gates, last I saw reported awhile ago is that he only owns about 20% of Microsoft.

He owns about a half of one percent, 30-some million shares. He owned less than one percent when he stepped down. Microsoft is mostly owned by Vanguard and Blackrock (Edit: Should have said firms such as that, not those firms in particular). I'm sure @TraderGary could get us numbers.

As for Gates, the statement is rhetorical. Bill Gates and China are big buddies.

Ants: No it is not an episode, toaster isnt even plugged in. I listed problems which all occuried in one day, and not Friday 13th (thats sarcasm by the way).

@antspants I know I haven't been here long, so I don't have the flair for the pedantic like long-standing members. The point is that he has almost nothing to do with the company and hasn't for a long time.

@elbmek Speaking for myself and maybe Flashorn, it's not exactly clear what your question is. The 2nd paragraph is completely unnecessary it seems. In the first paragraph, you list some odd behavior, but then say you know it's not your PC. Well then which PC are we talking about? What does it mean that wrong pages are opening? And a non-sarcastic question: Did Windows Updates install overnight? If they didn't, you can hardly blame WU for your woes.

So the answer to your straight question: Yes. Or No.

Your 'English' is confusing native English speakers, you started off on a rant and then pinned the blame on WU, you could have checked yourself when Windows last updated in less time than it took to blame Biden and China.

So, problem solved right?
But, on the same note, Lots of people around the world are having Major problems
with this month's update. Specifically, KB 5036893. So, count yourself lucky that, all
you had to do is a restart

Just as a finale in a thread where I feel incredibly sad to being trolled by some of you whi totally miised the point.

I discovered the fault: ~~it was an upgrade in Nvidia~~, but windows. I reinstalled the drivers and it now seems to be fixed.

And I wasnt RANTING but stating facts. End of rant, it amazing how many of the posts totally lost the plot.
