Left the Insider Release program and re-installed W11 accordingly. W11 won't activate. Looks like it won't recognize my digital license due to hardware change. But it was happy enough while in the Insider Program. What can I do?
If you’re a Windows Insider and have been running Windows 11 Insider Preview builds you’ll automatically receive new builds that have been activated, provided Windows was activated on your device before upgrading to the new build.
Have you tried the Activation Troubleshooter? When it has run its course there is a 'I recently changed hardware on this device' link. Click on it and you should be able to find its original activation in your MS account and use it to reactivate.

fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.

Also, if you changed hardware and you did not put in the drive with the licensed copy of your Windows, you don't have a license atm...you need to buy a new one or transfer the license from your old system to the new one.
MS may be able to help you with that...but what you really need is the original key and it should be easy enough to move the license over.
WIP does not automatically grant you a full Windows license even though during W10 IP some if not all insiders received a license for free even if the users did not originally have one before entering IP.

When I left the Win10 Insider Preview I had to re-install on the computer. Didn't get into the Win11 program. The re-install was not a big problem as I took to heart the warning about not using a Production or only computer, had it a on different one I had rehabbed from parts.
