Hi folks
using latest 26H2 experimental build with VBOX to create a Linux VM - works snappier (on the VM) than Hyper-V for the same Linux OS build plus is a lot more flexible.
The only thing is VBOX has a bit of a hideous interface if you aren't used to it and setting up the ist VM is really fiddly !! but the VM is far more flexible

Hint also when testing fedora with SMB1 and sharing with rest of your network do the following if using a Fedora distro with a GUI.
1) disable firewall,
2) for samba min protocol is NT1 for SMBV1 !!
3) disable selinux -- casuse all sorts of problems when testing if left enabled
4) install and enable cockpit.
Cheers
