What the title says. Whenever I try to launch the application, the loading circle appears next to my cursor and then goes away. No error dialogs or anything indicating that theres a prolem. I then spent hours googling for answers only to find none. A while later I opened Reliability Veiwer to look at errors unrelated to the Logitech problem and I instantly noticed the following.

I then spent spent even more time googling. I could not find anything specific to my issue, but alot of the stuff I found points to a problem with .NET. Using Powershell, I confirmed that I had it installed.
Code:
PSChildName Version
----------- -------
Client 4.8.09032
Full 4.8.09032
Client 4.0.0.0

I tried reinstallint .NET, but because I already had it installed, the installer would fail.
I am at my witts end here, so any hep would be appreciated.

Logitech's software has always been flakey. Uninstall it with Revo uninstaller, making sure to remove all leftover entries. Restart and reinstall.
Onboard Memory Manager is a standalone utility that you do not have to install to run.
It is for gamers to quickly configure the on-board memory profiles of Logitech mice without having to install Logitech G HUB software.
I have version 2.1.7479 and it opens correctly.
Will check this newer version.

Edit: 2.2.5062 version opened for me as well but I am on 23H2 so could be a 24H2 issue.

I'm starting to believe that that is the case. I was working correctly in 23H2. It was only after a clean install of 24H2 (Via USB) that I am running into this issue.

I tested this if doing an upgrade with iso file from Win 11 website instead of clean install.
After upgrade I was on build 26100.1742 and OMM worked fine.
WU then updated to build 26100.2314 and OMM still worked.
WU then updated to 26100.2454 and OMM was still working for me.

Update: Ok, so the problem may not be Windows, of maybe it is. I don't know anymore. So I had a Windows 10 USB laying around (My laptop came with W10) so I decided to install it and what do you know... Onboard Memory Manager still doesn't launch. A whole OS downgrade. At this point, It has to be a missing software component because the the issue is obviously not tried to the OS.

I need to know, what are all your driver versions, what do you have installed? I just need to know what you have that I don't that is allowing it to run in yours and not mine. I already explored the .NET route but installing Desktop Runtime versions 6, 8, 9. It has to be something else.

My system is AMD and you are Intel so drivers are not the same.
Have you tried downloading OMM again as maybe yours is corrupt.

Have you ever had G HUB installed?

Perhaps during G HUB install it installs the .NET version or DLL's that OMM needs to run.

At one time I had G HUB installed then uninstalled it as I found all I needed was OMM.

I've done so several times.

No. But I don't think I've ever had to to get it working. But at this point I'm willing to try anything so I'll install G-HUB and see what happens.

Update: Wait so it was a C++ Redistributable problem? Always has been.
So basically, I installed G-HUB. OMM Worked after that. As KevTech guessed. Then I got curious, what did the installation of G-HUB do that allowed OMM to work. I looked that the logs and wow...

Capture.webp

So I uninstall G-Hub and the Visual C++ Runtimes and try to launch OMM again. Predictably, it did not launch. I then went and downloaded and installed the latest redistributable offered by Microsoft. And now I want to jump off a cliff. Before that, virtual kiss to KevTech (no-homo if applicable) for pointing me in the right direction. And a big 🖕 to Logitech for not listing, or at least prompting, the requirement for this.

Marking as solved.

Glad it is fixed.
Ya when I uninstalled G HUB I did not uninstall the visual C too so that is why OMM still worked for me.
